This print design embraces the theme of 'imperfection', a departure from my exhausting perfectionism. I sought balance by photographing imperfect yet captivating elements of everyday life. Inspired by the raw beauty of weathered surfaces and the delicate allure of butterflies and moths with damaged wings, the design symbolises fragility intertwined with elegance, capturing the essence of the beauty of imperfection.
This work has won 3rd Prize on the P1 category in the Bradford Textile Society Design Competition 2024, judged by The LIBERTY Fabrics, sponsored by The Worshipful Company of Dyers.
